Why only 130 characters are available for each SMS via MyClubSMS website?
Answer: Approximately 30 characters are deducted for standard message headings that includes the club's name and sender's name.
Will I be receiving too many SMS each day?
Answer: You have the option to select maximum number of SMS to receive on MyClubSMS.com once you login. However please note that you are at your own discretion for the number of SMS you send and for the membership of each club you join. Therefore you are advised to join only the clubs or societies that you are genuinely interested in.
What if somebody is spamming the club with commercial advertisements?
Answer: The leader has the option whether to allow club members to send public SMS to all other members. Therefore, this reduces the opportunity for spammers to send spamming messages. For privacy reasons, we do not monitor the SMS sent via MyClubSMS. However, you can raise your complaint to the administrator by providing the Club's name, sender's name of the spamming message, and date and time of the spamming message.
Will my mobile phone number be exposed to unknown users of MyClubSMS?
Answer: Mobile phone number is not involved during any of the SMS process. No other users, known or unknown, can obtain your mobile phone number unless you provide it to them.
